About

Tiger Gymnastics offers gymnastics classes that include activities such as tumbling, cartwheels, pullovers, board approaches, beam basics, walkovers, glides, pop-ups, turns, cartwheels on the beam, handsprings, squat-ons, flatbacks, and work on tumbling, kips, and handsprings. Classes focus on strength, coordination, flexibility, and fun in a safe, caring environment. Tiger Gymnastics has five levels: Tumble Time, Beginners, Intermediate, Advanced, and Masters, with classes structured for ages 4 years old and up.

• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Beginners’ classes are one hour long; Intermediate, Advanced, and Masters classes are two hours long. Gymnasts at the Beginner level are recommended to register for one class per week; Intermediate gymnasts are recommended for 1–2 classes per week; Advanced and Masters gymnasts are recommended for 2–3 classes per week. Registration for Gymnastics opens December 16 at 6:00 AM.

Tumble Time is for 4- and 5-year-olds who are not yet in Kindergarten, and Community Education and the gymnastics staff ask that Tumble Time parents remain in the gym during their child’s class session. Beginners is for students in Kindergarten or a higher grade during the 2023–24 school year. Placement evaluation is required before registering for Intermediate, Advanced, or Masters if the child is new or was not enrolled in the previous session, and evaluations are by appointment only with a parent or guardian asked to stay in the gym during the evaluation. Delano Community Education asks that parents, siblings, and other spectators remain in the bleachers during the child’s gymnastics session. For the safety of the athlete and the gymnastics staff, gymnasts must wear a leotard and spandex shorts with their hair in a ponytail, and tighter-fitting shirts and shorts are also allowed, with no crop tops or sports bras.

Tiger Gymnastics is led by Delano High School Varsity Head Coach Jamie Greenberg, and contact persons for evaluations are Jamie Greenberg and Chris Runke. The program is part of Delano Community Education, whose mission is “Building community spirit through lifelong learning.”
