Detroit Lakes Youth Soccer Association offers soccer through the DLYSA Competitive Program, 2026 Summer Soccer, the 2026 Summer U9-10 Rec League, and 2026 Summer Mighty Strikers. The DLYSA Competitive Program runs outdoors in the spring and summer and uses a soccer year that goes from August 1 to July 31.

• Schedule: The DLYSA Competitive Program runs in the spring and summer from April or May (weather-dependent) through mid-July
The program’s mission is to promote and foster, in its members, a basic knowledge of soccer by creating a fun, fair and safe environment, with an emphasis on a competitive spirit focusing on skill-development, respect, self-confidence, leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork. Detroit Lakes Youth Soccer Association is a non-profit organization. It uses SportsEngine’s Sports Relationship Management (SRM) software for its website, and it offers a Team Store with year-round online apparel sales that ships directly to the consumer. Families can apply for scholarships through a Scholarship Application process, and there are volunteer opportunities including board member, coach, and team manager roles. Donation options include PayPal using an email, phone number donations, and mailed checks. Local businesses support the club by purchasing mesh banners to display at the stadium fence, and Nick Christianson with State Farm, Cenex Community Co-Ops, and Central Market have made donations through this mesh banner program.
