About
Detroit Lakes Youth Soccer Association offers youth soccer through its DLYSA Competitive Program. Participants play soccer during the spring and summer season.
• Ages: 8–18 years old
• Schedule: The DLYSA Competitive Program runs in the spring and summer from April or May, depending on weather, through mid-July.
• Price: REGISTER FOR EARLY BIRD PRICE UNTIL FEB 15!
The program’s mission is to promote and foster in its members a basic knowledge of soccer by creating a fun, fair and safe environment, with an emphasis on a competitive spirit focusing on skill-development, respect, self-confidence, leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork. Detroit Lakes Youth Soccer Association is a non-profit organization. Local businesses support the club by purchasing mesh banners to display at the stadium, and Nick Christianson with State Farm, Cenex Community Co-Ops, and Central Market have made donations to the club through this mesh banner program. A Scholarship Application form is available for families seeking assistance so that their child is able to play soccer in the summer, and scholarship requests must be submitted prior to the registration deadline. Volunteer opportunities include board member, coaching, and team manager roles. Donations can be made via PayPal email or phone number, or by sending a check to the office, and businesses can participate in a mesh banner program by completing a banner sponsorship form and emailing it with a logo.
