About
Braemar Junior Golf Academy offers a series of classes where juniors practice putting, driving, short game, irons, drivers, pitching, hitting sand shots, chipping, score-keeping, and league play. Instruction classes continue to review material from previous levels, teach goal setting and pre-shot routine, introduce course strategy, and teach score-keeping while tracking scores to show improvement. Next Step includes activities to mold exceptional athletic golfers capable of excelling in golf at the high school level and beyond, with two hours per week of instruction and one day of league play, and statistics are kept to spot weaknesses and evaluate improvements. Advance class is for juniors who already possess solid fundamentals and want to improve their game with the hope of future competitive play, and Advance instruction includes activities to mold exceptional athletic golfers capable of excelling in golf at the high school level and beyond. In The Tour, students learn how to practice smart, prepare for competition, manage time effectively, receive increasing amounts of individual attention, focus on goal setting, and have statistics kept to spot weaknesses and evaluate improvements. Hornets After School Instruction & Play is for beginner and intermediate juniors in the fall and includes one hour per week of instruction at the Braemar Academy and one hour per week of league play on the Academy 9 Par 3 Course. Jr/High School Tune Up classes are for intermediate to advanced players who are looking to play on the junior high or high school golf team and work with each student to prepare for the season and help them know their swings.
