Edina Art Center Art Classes & Programs

Edina Art Center Art Classes & Programs offers activities such as Art Sampler, cartooning, First Saturday Art Labs, Cupcakes & Canvas, life drawing, portrait drawing, and classes in oils, acrylics, and watercolor. The program also includes Abstract Painting - Beginning and beyond, printmaking, felting, and Curated Conversations. At this time, the Edina Art Center does not offer pottery or ceramics, and the class offerings are planned to remain the same except for the future addition of pottery and ceramics.

Edina offers art programs for all ages and abilities. Kids classes include the Art Sampler, cartooning and more, and kids and family programs include First Saturday Art Labs, Cupcakes & Canvas, workshops and more. With the new Art Center coming in 2027 at the Hennepin County Southdale Library site, pottery and ceramics are planned to be offered again, and the new Center is anticipated to open in fall 2027. Construction on a new pedestrian bridge in Rosland Park began June 23, 2026, a portion of West 64th Street is closed through early summer 2027, the Edina Art Center remains open and accessible throughout construction, visitors are directed to use W. Shore Drive to access the Art Center, the parking lot will not be affected by construction, and classes, programs and events will continue as scheduled.
