Deep Portage Summer Camps

Deep Portage Summer Camps focus on outdoor activities such as fishing, hunting, canoeing, and outdoor recreation. Campers take part in firearms safety, hunting and shooting skills, and explore topics in science and conservation. The program also offers birding, hiking, skiing, and cross-country skiing as part of its overnight camp experiences. All camps offered are overnight style.

• Schedule: Deep Portage Learning Center is open daily from 8:00am to 4:30pm.

For over fifty years, Deep Portage Learning Center has provided outdoor experiences. Its mission is: “Through the exploration of woods, water, and wildlife, Deep Portage prepares and inspires learners of all ages to sustain and celebrate our natural world.” Deep Portage serves groups, organizations, area residents, and visitors with interpretive programs, tours, and events. Deep Portage Learning Center is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

Camp scholarships are available for Deep Portage Summer Camps. All scholarship recipients are required to verify their scholarship award upon online registration by providing contact information (name and number or email) from the individual that awarded them the scholarship.
