About

Chisago Lakes Community Education Youth Programs offers clubs, activities, enrichment classes, after school care, and teen driver’s education in cooperation with Right Away Driving School. After school classes are aimed to inspire and spark creativity, and programs are available for grades K–12 to make it a full summer at Chisago Lakes Community Education. Safe and welcoming spaces are created to help facilitate fun and learning for preK–12th grade.

• Ages: 4–17 years old

The youth programs are part of Chisago Lakes Community Education, which offers lifelong learning opportunities for the Chisago Lakes Schools community. Early childhood families through adults are invited to participate in classes, camps, activities, and programs. Participants must be the correct age and/or grade by the first date of the course. Course withdrawals must be made at least 24 hours prior to the course start date for a refund, and a $5 cancellation fee applies. Photographs and videos are taken to use in marketing materials, and participants may notify in writing if they do not wish to have photos or videos in publications.

The mission of Community Education is to identify lifelong learning needs of the communities through community-wide involvement, making resources available and providing opportunities to share talents and resources, thereby improving the quality of life within the communities. Chisago Lakes Community Education is described as the place where Chisago Lakes School District intersects with the broader community and has a role as a gateway and connector that brings people together. The leadership team includes Christine Melbostad, Program Coordinator, and Dan McGonigle, Director.
