Junior Golf Programs at Chomonix Golf Course include a Junior Golf Learning Program with beginner, advanced beginner, and intermediate group options, as well as a Junior Golf Performance Academy. The programs use activities such as practice and play on the course, 9-hole rounds, and 9 hole playing lessons, and junior clubs are available at a special rate for all participants. Additional instruction options connected to the program include adult clinics, adult new to the game clinics, game improvement clinics, private lessons, and a Practice & Play Package.

• Ages: 8–16 years old
• Schedule: Junior Golf Learning Program sessions meet Monday through Friday; Junior Golf Performance Academy small groups meet Wednesdays and Sundays from 4:00–5:30 pm with a 9-hole round on Monday evenings; adult clinic options are offered Tuesday and Thursday evenings or Sunday mornings; beginner and advanced beginner sessions are 60 minutes, the intermediate group is 90 minutes, adult clinics include six hours of instruction, private lessons are 60 minutes, and the Practice & Play Package includes five 60-minute sessions plus a free 9 hole playing lesson
• Price: Junior rate is $10 for parents who play with their junior on course Monday evenings at 6:45 pm; one private lesson costs $90 for an individual or $135 for a couple; three private lessons cost $255 for an individual or $390 for a couple; the Practice & Play Package costs $450 for an individual or $650 for a couple

The beginner program is for kids ages 8–12 who are new to the game, the advanced beginner program is for kids ages 10–14 who have taken a beginner class and want to improve their shot making skills, and the intermediate group is for kids ages 10–16 who have taken lessons and have been out on the course and splits time practicing and playing on the course. The Junior Golf Performance Academy is designed for middle school and high school students with previous golf experience who want to play competitive golf and includes a V1 video analysis each week, along with training aids and alignment sticks. Parents who wish to play with their junior on course are invited to join Monday evenings at 6:45 pm, and the junior rate for parents at that time is $10.

Adult clinics connected to the program have a limit of five players per clinic to allow for individual instruction, include six hours of instruction, and include the opportunity to play a round with the instructor, and the class size for the “New or Improved” clinic is limited to 6. All private lessons are 60 minutes and include a video playing lesson sent to the student, and the Practice & Play Package includes five 60-minute sessions plus a free 9 hole playing lesson.

The program is led by Director of Instruction, LPGA Professional Betsy Larey. Betsy Larey has been working with adults and juniors for 26 years, has been the Head Women’s Golf Coach at Carleton College in Northfield MN, Flagler College in St Augustine FL, and White Bear Lake Area Schools, and has taught at the PGA Tour Academy in St Augustine FL.
