Minnesota Orchestra Youth & Family Programs are part of the Minnesota Orchestra, a Grammy Award-winning orchestra. The programs connect families and young audiences with an orchestra known for acclaimed performances, a storied history of recordings and radio broadcasts, and innovative educational engagement programs. The Minnesota Orchestra performs a wide variety of music, including nearly 175 concerts in a typical year, and has a commitment to new orchestral music.
Orchestra Hall has been the Minnesota Orchestra’s home since 1974. The Minnesota Orchestra is led by Music Director Thomas Søndergård. The organization’s mission is to enrich, inspire and serve the community as an enduring symphony orchestra internationally recognized for its artistic excellence. As part of its community involvement, the Minnesota Orchestra offers a week of free outdoor performances each year that features classical favorites, film music, Sousa marches and more as a thank-you to the community.
