CREO offers 1–5 performance opportunities per year, with performance options that focus on concert dance rather than competition.

The mission of CREO Arts & Dance Conservatory is to build strong, creative, determined, joyful, wholesome artists and to provide high-quality dance classes to enhance the overall development of the child. The program states that it provides a safe and child-centered environment with qualified, nurturing instructors. The staff includes a positive, qualified, artistic team, many of whom have earned Fine Arts Degrees in their field, and many instructors currently dance with dance companies and/or have degrees in dance.
The leadership and instructional team includes: Christa Anderson-Hill (Director/Owner); Adrienne Berrington (Ballet, Pointe); Alejandra Iannone (School Principal, Contemporary, CREO Classical Ballet); Amber Opdahl (School Principal, Performance Manager, Hip-hop, Acro); Brenda Nepsund (School Principal, Hip-hop, Acro, Faith Based); Elayna Sitzman (Ballet, Jazz, Musical Theater, Pointe); Emmy Mendez (Marketing Manager); Hannah Benditt (Ballet, Pointe, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT)); Kelsey Charlotte (Ballet Principal, Modern Technique, Contemporary, CREO Classical Ballet, Flight); Maddy Woodman (Ballet, contemporary, creative movement, jazz, musical theater, tap, pre-pointe, barre fitness); Mary Kozar (Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet); Ramsey Folkerts (Events Manager, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Tap); and Rebecca Tanner (Executive Studio Manager, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz).
CREO Arts & Dance Conservatory describes its atmosphere as wholesome and family friendly, with an emphasis on community and kindness and a focus on the Golden Rule: “do onto others as you would have done onto you.” Dancers are required to dress modestly to encourage focus on dance rather than body type, and music choices are described as clean and age appropriate. Classes cap at 12 dancers for ages 3–5 and 15 dancers for grades 1–12, with some advanced classes noted as potentially larger due to leveling. In the spring, dancers receive written feedback regarding their progress in class.
The CREO Classical Ballet Curriculum is rooted in Cicchetti and is described as lending itself to all forms of classical ballet. Dancers in this curriculum spend two years in each level refining technique, alignment, and style, and some dancers choose to follow this track toward pointe work. The program states that it builds strong ballet, modern, and contemporary jazz/hip-hop artists and focuses on the individual needs of each dancer.
Faith-based dance classes at CREO infuse Judeo/Christian themes with various dance styles. Instructors implement anatomy and kinesiology of human movement and the human body into their classes, and even the youngest dancers learn to name various muscle groups. Creative exploration is described as building problem-solving skills and celebrating individual expression, and dancers have opportunities to experiment with their own choreographic voice through dance composition workshops and improvisation.
CREO Arts & Dance Conservatory reports that its dancers perform in the annual West-Metro community tradition “The Tales & Tails of Folks & Fairies,” in various faith-based dance productions, at Elevate Youth Dance Festival, at Cathedral Dance Festival, and in a spring recital. Dancers may audition for three faith-based youth companies—Footprints, Roots, and CREO DanceVERVE: Twin Cities—that perform at area churches. The Angel Fund scholarship program includes classes, costumes, performance fees, shoes, and studio attire for recipients.
