About

The Lake Minnetonka Athletic Association Youth Football League offers youth football for children and focuses on helping players learn the fundamentals of football. The program is part of the Lake Minnetonka Athletic Association (LMAA), which is a youth football league for young people in grades 1st through 8th.

• Ages: 6–13 years old

The Lake Minnetonka Athletic Association (LMAA) was established in 1961. Its stated mission is to help young people in grades 1st through 8th learn the fundamentals of football, learn the value of teamwork, and have fun doing it. Most games for LMAA are on artificial turf fields. The LMAA provides EMT/Paramedic services at every game.

The LMAA serves as the governing board for the youth football programs of its member and area organizations: Hopkins, Maple Grove, Minnetonka, Edina, St. Louis Park, and Wayzata/Plymouth. LMAA is recognized by USA Football. LMAA does not promote game scores, have playoffs, or recognize team champions, but promotes and recognizes good sportsmanship, and a sportsmanship nomination form is available to registered coaches and referees.
