About

Camp Quest North is an overnight secular summer camp that includes field games, swimming, archery, crafts, and campfires. Unique activities at Camp Quest North encourage rational inquiry, free speech, active citizenship, and respect. The program encourages exploration of the natural world and promotes open dialogue that involves challenging each other's ideas while treating each other with respect.

Camp Quest North follows the broader Camp Quest mission of providing an educational adventure shaped by fun, friends, and freethought featuring science, natural wonder, and humanist values. Camp Quest North fosters curiosity, scientific inquiry, and critical thinking in young people to enable them to draw their own conclusions, and cultivates reason and empathy as foundations of an ethical, productive, and fulfilling life. Camp Quest North develops supportive communities for freethinking families and raises awareness of positive contributions made by atheists, agnostics, humanists, freethinkers, and other nontheistic people to society, and demonstrates atheism and humanism as positive and family-friendly.

“Camp Quest North” is a licensed affiliate program of Camp Quest, Inc., a national secular youth development agency. “Camp Quest” programs are operated by organizations that are not owned or operated by Camp Quest, Inc., or affiliated in any way other than license agreements, and the websites and social media platforms of “Camp Quest” program camps are not controlled by, created by, or monitored by Camp Quest, Inc. Camp Quest is committed to providing youth with a safe, non-judgmental, bully-free environment that embraces human diversity and makes every reasonable effort to be inclusive, and affirms the right of all people to be treated with respect and encouraged to understand and accept others regardless of religious affiliation, race, class, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, ability, or other characteristics. Camp Quest’s respectful, inclusive environment does not prohibit disagreements, critiques, and debates over ideas, and it states that people should be respected while ideas are questioned and debated using evidence, with a focus on constructive, respectful engagement, evidence-based conclusions, empathy, and engaged coexistence. Camp Quest North also states that it provides a safe and fun environment for personal and social growth and helps others and practices service within its communities.
