Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota Youth Mentoring Program offers one-to-one mentor relationships between volunteers and youth. The program makes meaningful, professionally supported matches between volunteers and youth. Littles and High School Bigs in the program are eligible for scholarships.

Since 1969, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota has believed that in every child is the potential to succeed and thrive. The organization’s stated vision is that all youth achieve their full potential, and its mission is to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota serves youth between the ages of five and 21 across a five-county service area: Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Morrison and northern Wright County. The organization states that every person, regardless of ability, age, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender, gender identity, gender expression, income, national origin, race or sexual orientation, marital or veteran status has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Minnesota awards scholarships including the Federated Challenge® Scholarship, Dahlias Scholarship, and the BriAnna Kruzel Memorial Scholarship. The organization recognizes participants and volunteers through honors such as the Growing Up Big Award, with Lindsey Trimbo named the 2026 Growing Up Big Award Winner, and annual recognitions including 2026 Big Brother of the Year, 2026 Big Sister of the Year, 2026 Big Family of the Year, 2026 High School Big Brother of the Year, 2026 High School Big Sister of the Year, 2026 Little Brother of the Year, and 2026 Little Sister of the Year. The organization reports that it has more than 130 Littles waiting in its five-county service area.
