TCGIS Summer Camps offers summer camp sessions that include language-based activities, Water Fun Days, playground games, neighborhood field trips to places such as Como Zoo and Como Town, and a creative kids craft camp with painting, gluing, building, and creating paper lanterns. Campers also take part in games and sports such as soccer, hockey, basketball, running, jumping, throwing, and sprinting, as well as solving jigsaw, tactile, word, and number puzzles. In the Sports in German camp, campers are instructed to come dressed to move.

• Ages: 4–13 years old
• Schedule: Weekly camps run Monday–Friday with camp programs from 9:00am–12:00pm, optional after care from 12:00pm–5:00pm, and full-day options from 8:00am–5:00pm during Weeks 1–7 (June 22–26, June 29–July 3, July 6–10, July 13–17, July 20–24, July 27–31, and August 3–7), with drop-off between 8:00am–9:00am and pick-up between 12:00pm–12:15pm or 4:00pm–5:00pm depending on the option.
• Price: $185.00 per week for Camp Programs (Mon–Fri); $130.00 per week for After Care with camp sign-up; $160.00 per week for after-care only; $315.00 per week for Full Day Camp (Camp + After care).

TCGIS Summer Camps are taught by TCGIS Summer Camp Leaders who teach their courses in German or in English, and camps led in English are noted. Camp Counselors speak German, so in English-led camps the languages used are both German and English, and additional support is provided for students who do not speak German yet, as well as English-language support for students who speak a language other than English at home. Registration age is based on the current school year, and registration is open for 2026–27 Kindergarteners, who are to be signed up as Grade Pre-K, with a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 participants per camp.

Twin Cities German Immersion School states its mission as “Innovative Education of the Whole Child through German Immersion.” Twin Cities German Immersion School is a free K–8 public charter school and is the largest German immersion school in North America, and it is open to all Minnesota families. The school acknowledges and appreciates that it is located on Waȟpékhute Dakota traditional, ancestral, and contemporary homeland, near Lake Medewaka, in the land now known as Minnesota (Mni Sota Makoce), and its authorizer is the University of St. Thomas Charter Authorizing Program.

Camp Leaders for 2026 include Frau Huesman, Frau Sindel, Herr und Frau Fretwell, Herr Tabisz, Em Knoer, Frau Kapllani, Frau Snow, Frau Rasmusson, Herr Clark, and Frau Cheshire-Wood. Camps canceled by TCGIS will be refunded 100%, a cancellation fee of $25 per child per camp is charged to families who cancel prior to the registration deadline of April 30, 2026, and no refunds will be issued after May 1, 2026.
