Saint Paul Blackhawks Soccer Summer Camps

Saint Paul Blackhawks Soccer Summer Camps include activities such as a fun and exciting introduction to soccer skills, game-based activities, individual skill activities, and small-sided games. Camp options include shooting and finishing with different parts of the feet, goalkeeping (goalie) training, skill development through technical sessions, game-type activities, camp games with skill competitions, 4v4 tournaments, Skill Challenges such as crossbar challenge, long distance passing competitions, and penalty shot accuracy, as well as a Blackhawks small-sided World Cup Tournament. Some camps also include conditioning, technical and tactical aspects of the game, mental aspects of tryouts, and a soccer video chalk talk.

• Schedule: Summer camps and training sessions offered in multiple 4- and 5-day formats, with half-day and full-day options, and some specialty sessions meeting on four dates.
• Price: Little Hawks Camps $115 per camp; Shooting/Finishing + Goalie $100 per session; Elite Prep Camp $350 per camp by March 15 and $400 after March 15; World Cup Camps $200 for half day and $350 for full day; Leagues Cup $200 for half day and $350 for full day; Tryout Prep Camp $175; Goalie Training $100; Summer Skills Challenge $200 for half day and $350 for full day, with payment made online in PlayMetrics.

Saint Paul Blackhawks Soccer Summer Camps are part of Saint Paul Blackhawks, a non-profit organization founded in 1952, which incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation on February 25, 1985. The club’s mission is to build character in its soccer players and strengthen the community by developing highly skilled, respectful, competitive soccer players, and it states that it embraces diversity and welcomes different cultures. The Elite Prep Camp is instructed by Coach Luigi and Coach Tacchini, who are described as former coaches of professional and semi-professional youth soccer teams in Europe. The Summer Skills Challenge is led by Blackhawks coaching staff. The organization describes itself as serving youths, their families, and the community by offering a high-quality year-round soccer program and practicing and playing at a number of fields in Saint Paul and Minneapolis.

For equipment, families are asked to send players with combinations of shin guards, cleats or tennis shoes, water, and an appropriately sized soccer ball, with size 3 or 4 balls specified for Little Hawks Camps and size 4 balls specified for World Cup Camps and Leagues Cup.
