Sauk Rapids-Rice Youth Baseball Association offers a competitive baseball program that includes T-ball, coach pitch, a traveling baseball league, Gopher State Baseball League play, weekend baseball tournaments, and both indoor and outdoor baseball practices. The program includes SRYBA Gopher State teams that are formed after fall evaluations each year for 10U–14U players, and players may decline Gopher State and stay at the CMCBL level. SRYBA requires that players attend school within the ISD47 District or live within the district area.
For Gopher State Baseball League players, SRYBA provides a Dri-Fit undershirt, and players are required to purchase their own jersey. Players also need to provide white baseball pants, a green belt, green socks, cleats, and their own helmet. Bat specifications are defined for ages 9–14, including required USA or USSSA markings and specific limits on bat diameter, length, and weight differential for each age group. The association notes that these Gopher State teams require a lot of time and dedication.
