Youth Programs offers full-day camp experiences that include swimming, rock climbing, art instruction, themed programming, recreational games, soccer, rec tree climbing, and tennis. Day camps provide hands-on experiences and are described as providing unforgettable memories. Kids’ University, arts programs with interdisciplinary creative approaches, and Gopher Adventures with small, age-appropriate groups are part of Youth Programs.

• Schedule: Summer 2026 options during Recreation and Wellness Center and St. Paul Gym hours (May 9–September 4)
Youth Programs are open to the public, and all camps are open to everyone, including the general public and families of University of Minnesota staff and faculty. Youth Programs are described as an opportunity for a child to learn, discover new passions, and make lifelong friends. Donations enable youth to have a summer camp experience by providing support to families who have genuine financial need. The University of Minnesota is an equal opportunity educator and employer. Parents and guardians can access documentation needed to register a child and information about what is needed before attending. Highway 280 is fully closed from I-94 in St. Paul to Hwy 36/I-35W in Roseville for the duration of Summer Youth Programs.
