Minnesota Blizzard Baseball offers traveling baseball and club baseball, along with small group training, individual lessons, strength training, showcases, fall leagues, and tournaments. These activities are part of the Blizzard Baseball Academy program.
• Ages: 10–18 years old
Since 2003, Minnesota Blizzard Baseball has won over 150 national tournaments and placed in the top four 300 times. The program is described as the most successful traveling and club baseball program in Minnesota and among the top select and most well-respected teams in the Midwest. Blizzard Baseball Academy is a core part of the Minnesota Blizzard program. The program draws players ages 10u–18u from across Minnesota, from Albert Lea to Duluth, and has also had several players from the Dakotas, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Canada. Over the last ten years, over 515 players from the program have committed to play college baseball, over 60 players have been drafted or signed as free agents, and 18 players have been drafted in the top 10 rounds. The program’s vision and values are described as the Blizzard Big 5, which guide players through their youth years, into high school and onto both college and professional baseball.
Coaches include former or current professional and college-affiliated players Eddie Gerald (KC Royals / MN Twins), Cole Albers (Iowa Western CC), Kellen Rholl (Cleveland Indians), Nick Novak (Fargo-Moorhead Redhawks), and Connor Olson (Minnesota Twins). The leadership team includes Owner Adam Barta, Strength & Conditioning Director Bryan Sanchez, Lead Pitching Instructor and Tournament Director Michael Jensen, Founder of The Next Level Program Cole Albers, and Program A.I. Newscaster Blizzard Blue. The program has received media attention from KSTP 5, Kare 11, ESPN 1500, Fox9, Channel 6, the Star Tribune, and the Upper Deck Report, among others.
