Wayzata Community Church states that faith, community, inclusion, and fun are core aspects of Wayzata Community Church Summer Camp, and describes camp as a place where kids experience life together with purpose and with hearts open to God’s love. The camp proclaims that God is loving and inclusive above all else, that every person is a unique and unrepeatable miracle worth celebrating, and that it accepts all individuals and aims to reflect the wide open, inclusive love known through Jesus. The goal is to include every child in the camp ministry, encouraging them to grow in faith and life as the person God created them to be, with relationships, growth, and faith that begin at camp intended to continue in year-round ministries when children return on Sundays or Wednesdays, and friends are always welcome at camp.

Wayzata Community Church offers scholarships so that financial challenges do not prevent campers from attending, and states that financial assistance is available for individuals in need. Work Crew is described as an extended service-based faith experience for incoming 10th–12th grade students devoted to serving God, the camp, and the campers, and if Work Crew sessions fill, preference is given first to seniority and then to the order of applications. Campers’ luggage must be placed into the luggage trailer at departure, parents decide how much money to deposit in the camp store account, current immunization records, an insurance card, and the non-refundable $100 deposit are required for registration, any late arrivals or early departures must be approved by the Camp Director at least 7 days before the session, and parents are asked to notify the camp of any dietary restrictions their child has.

Wayzata Community Church has been helping people with their faith journeys for over 140 years and is a United Church of Christ congregation. Its stated vision is to inspire the world with the inclusive love of Jesus, and its mission is to be a caring community drawn together by God’s grace and called to personally live out Christ’s love, to extend a welcome invitation to all people with uncompromising compassion, to challenge complacency through courageous conversation and transformational worship, and to share its gifts through life-changing mission and service locally, nationally, and internationally. For questions about camp payments, families are directed to contact Dave Knoll; for questions about High School Work Crew, they are directed to contact Mike Solberg; and cabinmate change requests are directed to Kathy Handy.
