Westfield Junior Golf Program

The Westfield Junior Golf Program includes putting on the first day, instruction days at the driving range, and a later playing phase on Mondays and Wednesdays. The program is for junior golfers ages 5 to 18 and is free to attend and participate.

Programs

• Westfield Junior Golf Summer Program — junior golfers of all ages and abilities; primary focus on juniors who are new to the game of golf · Instruction days have two waves: 9:00am to 10:00am and 10:30am to 11:30am. Through the remainder of June, on Mondays and Wednesdays, meetings are at the Driving Range. The following session starts the Playing Phase of the program, with tee sheet open from 8:00am through 9:15am each Monday and Wednesday morning until the end of July. · The Program is FREE to attend and participate.

About the provider

Brian Paulson, a PGA Professional and PGA of America Member, runs the instruction days with some volunteer assistants. He is the new Head Golf Professional at Westfield. The Westfield Golf Club has been part of the Winona community since 1923.

The program is free. Sign-up should go live starting around the first week of February each year. Instruction days can handle around 30-35 kids in each session. Younger kids are generally taken in the first session and older ones in the second session, but scheduling conflicts are accommodated. Weather or other circumstances may change the calendar.
