Camps and Programs for All Ages

Camps and Programs for All Ages includes WildCare Park Early Childhood Programs, WildCare Park Teen Overnight, Escape the Zoo, Family Polar Bear Overnights, Zoo ALIVE Teen Volunteers, and programs for schools, scouts, youth groups, families, adults, and careers. The Zoo changes program offerings every season, and most classes are offered in 45-minute formats, Monday through Friday, Labor Day through Memorial Day. Small classroom programs may include biofacts, activities, demonstrations, and discussions.

About the provider

The program is AZA Accredited, and Association of Zoos and Aquariums accreditation is described as the gold standard for zoos. Its mission is to conserve animals and their habitats through animal management, research, recreation, and educational programs that encourage the support and enrich the experience of the public. It also advocates for animals and their habitats by engaging with communities and enabling people to care for the natural world, protect wildlife and support community well-being.

Programs take place at the Zoo. Education classes take place in classrooms, including The Living World and Exploration Outpost and on Zoo grounds. Free learning opportunities are available for individual learners, schools, groups and scouts. Outreach programs, virtual learning, library and teacher resources are also offered.
