The program also offers volunteer opportunities related to its activities.

Children’s Theatre of Charlotte’s 2026–27 Season is its 79th season and will feature 12 productions, four of which will also be available as touring shows. The organization offers sensory-friendly shows and ASL-interpreted shows and lists accessibility resources that include these options. It provides a reduced-cost ticket program, school show field trips, touring shows, residencies and workshops, and runs programs for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, including participation in Poetry Out Loud. The Kindness Project is an initiative that brings original plays centered around kindness to young audiences. Children’s Theatre of Charlotte describes itself as a registered not-for-profit and states a commitment to listening, learning, and working together to address racial injustice in the community. It is supported, in part, by the City of Charlotte and the North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources, with additional support from the Shubert Foundation.
