DC Department of Parks and Recreation Youth Programs offers District residents hundreds of free programs for recreational purposes. Most of these programs are free for DC residents, and DPR also provides reduced rates on fee-based programs based on income for qualifying families.

• Schedule: The Permits Office is open Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm.
• Price: Most of DPR's programs are free for DC residents.

The DC Department of Parks and Recreation is an accredited agency. Its leadership includes Mayor Muriel Bowser, DPR Director Delano Hunter, and DPR Director Keith Anderson. DPR also offers a Youth Development Professional Certification in partnership with the George Washington University Center for Excellence in Public Leadership (GW CEPL).
