Mrs. Marcelle’s School of Dance

Mrs. Marcelle’s School of Dance offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Hip-Hop, Lyrical, Pom, Pointe, and a technique-only class. The program also includes dance and performing arts classes for a range of interests and skill levels.

Mrs. Marcelle’s School of Dance opened in 1995 under the leadership of Mrs. Marcelle. The leadership team includes owner Mrs. Marcelle and teachers Mrs. Kate and Ms. Stevie. Mrs. Marcelle began dancing at the age of 3 and taught at multiple studios throughout Central Oregon before opening the school. Mrs. Kate loved ballet from a young age, danced at studios across the country while growing up, and began teaching at Mrs. Marcelle’s School of Dance in February 2008. Having started dancing at the age of three, Ms. Stevie has trained in Ballet, Pointe, Tap, and Jazz and has taught at various studios in Southern California. The school states that her heart is to provide an opportunity for all students to discover the joy of dance.

The program is described as a place for young children to take their first dance class and for more advanced dancers to train and work on their skills. It offers classes to students ages 3–18, along with fun adult classes throughout the year. The school provides several combination classes so young dancers can be exposed to many different styles of dance. One testimonial shared at the school is the quote, “Dancing is like dreaming with your feet” by Constanze Mozart. Another testimonial from teacher Ms. Stevie states that she believes there is no other studio that has the magic like Marcelle’s School of Dance.
