Morristown Recreation Programs, Sports, and Summer Camps offers year-round athletics, camps, instructional programs, and special events, including an Easter Egg Hunt and a Halloween Event. Children and teens can join activities such as swim lessons, the Burnham Barracudas Swim Team, STEM CAMPS, Mixed Media Art with Ms. Peggy Davo, Slime Lab Remix with Fun4All, LEGO® Robotics and Coding - Summer Fun with Built by Me, and Hydropower Explorers with Minds in Motion. The program also offers Tennis, NFL Flag Football, Cheer Dance, Multi-Sports, Basketball, Backyard Games, Volleyball, weekly programs like Karate, Soccer, and Track & Field, as well as adult options such as Yoga, Tennis Lessons, and Pop-Up Line Dancing Classes.
• Schedule: Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
• Price: Non-residents can register for programs and activities for an additional fee of $10.00 per program; Community Pass credit or debit card payments incur a 2.99% processing fee, and Community Pass eCheck payments incur a 1.00% processing fee.
Morristown Recreation operates Burnham Park Pool, which offers swim lessons and the Burnham Barracudas Swim Team, and the Recreation Department oversees park and field usage throughout the Town of Morristown. All registration is done online through Community Pass, and out-of-town participants can register for programs for an additional fee. The department states that refunds or credits are given if it cancels a program, classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment, no prorating is offered on any programs, and the refund policy was updated effective May 1, 2024. Registration for Summer 2026 programs is open, and Burnham Pool membership renewals and new member applications for 2026 are also open. The program is led by Recreation Supervisor Samantha Grindlinger and Program Coordinator Carmela Saggio.
