About
Shore Sports Camps offers activities that include soccer, basketball, team handball, flag football, rink soccer, kickball, tennis baseball, ultimate frisbee, rink hockey, track and field, fitness and speed training, capture the flag, and other gross motor skill activities. Camps include small group tactics, small and full sided games, individual instruction, snack breaks, daily awards and prizes, and an award ceremony. Each camper receives a camp T-shirt and a sling or tote bag.
• Ages: 5–14 years old
• Schedule: All camps run 9am–Noon, Monday–Thursday, in 7 one-week sessions.
• Price: Camp fees increase each month.
Shore Sports Camps is in its 38th year and describes itself as the largest and longest running camps at the Shore. The program is led by Kevin Seits, MS, ACC, Seits Inc. Vice President and Owner, and Koleen Carr Seits, Seits Inc. President and Owner. Shore Sports is a youth character development and leadership program which uses athletics to teach life skills and states that Shore Sports empowers kids through athletics. The staff includes experienced and Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) certified staff, a United States Soccer Federation “A” Licensed Coach, a United Soccer Coaches Advanced National Certification holder, an IPTPA Certified Pickleball Instructor, and an I.C.F. Certified Life/Executive Coach.
Shore Sports Camps is a proud official partner of the Positive Coaching Alliance, a nonprofit organization based at Stanford University with the mission to transform youth sports so sports can transform youth. Community involvement connected to the leadership includes roles with First Tee of the Treasure Coast, Starfinder Foundation, Radnor Education Foundation, and Family Forum. Recognitions and awards listed for program leadership include being recognized in Main Line Today for “Best CAMP Programs,” multiple Coach of the Year honors in the Philadelphia area, induction into the Haverford School Athletic Hall of Fame, and several Realtor of the Month and Realtor of the Year awards in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
Families are asked to send a water bottle and sneakers for Multi Sports Camp; a soccer ball, water bottle, shin guards, and cleats or soccer shoes for Soccer Camp; and a water bottle, sneakers, and an age-appropriate basketball for Basketball Camp. Drop off is at 9am and pick up is at noon, and the program offers valet drop off and pick up along with secure online registration and payment. The program notes that enrollment is limited and that most camps are sold out each year, and it uses the phrase “Growth, Friendship, and FUN!” and “Shore Sports Camps ‘Redefining youth sports.’”
