At Adventures in Learning, educators nurture children ages 8 weeks to 6 years in a joyful, inclusive environment through a creative, play-based curriculum with activities like Music and STEM. The infant curriculum uses play, sensory materials, and bilingual English-Spanish interactions, while toddlers explore through purposeful play, circle time, and outdoor games in English and Spanish. Preschool Prep includes bilingual stories, songs, STEM, yoga, and group projects, and the preschool program blends literacy, math, science, and bilingual arts with music and movement. The After-School Program extends the school day with homework support, bilingual English-Spanish enrichment, STEM, yoga, music, and outdoor play, and After Care and Summer Programs keep children engaged and provide reliable pickups, healthy snacks, and enriching experiences.
Each member of the team is CPR-certified, holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, and completes at least six professional development sessions each year. Staff receive hands-on training in child development, safety protocols, and engaging, play-based learning methods, and the center has first-aid trained staff. The program uses secure entry systems, regular safety drills, strict check-in/check-out procedures, a parent communication app for daily updates, photos, videos, announcements, and messages, and also shares regular newsletters and progress reports. Enrollment is rolling throughout the year, subject to availability, with extended hours that include early drop-off and late pickup and flexible scheduling where parents can choose specific days.
The centers are conveniently located near public transportation and are described as steps from or a short walk or drive to multiple public transportation options, which is noted as helpful for parents commuting to New York City or across New Jersey. One parent, Lauren B., reports feeling that teachers treat all children with warmth and care and describes feeling safe, secure, and happy as a parent. Another parent, Dee R., notes welcoming, caring, and communicative staff, mentions yoga and music classes, and reports seeing progress in milestones and behavior. A third parent, Jenna R., describes AIL 2 as the best place for her child and says the team cares for and loves every child and feels like family.
