About

Little Dolphins Swim Academy offers swim lessons and learn-to-swim programs through a swimming and child development system. The program includes infant, toddler, child, and adult swim classes, as well as swimming pool birthday parties. All classes take place in a state-of-the-art facility that is entirely devoted to swim instruction.

• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Classes offered 7 days a week, with many toddler swim classes on weekday mornings and Saturday and Sunday afternoons

Little Dolphins Swim Academy’s core focus is to teach swimming within its Principles of Compassion, Empowerment, Family and Excellence, called the C.E.F.E. Experience. The program has a lifetime mission to teach parents, infants, children, youth and adults swim safety, swim skills and a lifetime of swimming enjoyment. The academy offers a free first-time “Bathtime Baby” swim class for parents and babies ages two to six months old. It uses a student tracking and development system and a reward system to mark incremental swimming achievements. Group lessons include small class sizes, and instructors work one-on-one with students to improve form.

Little Dolphins Swim Academy has the ability and professional experience of Olympic level swim instruction and searches for swim instructors who have a love for working with children and an aptitude for teaching. The program is a proud Gold Member of the New Jersey Swim Safety Alliance. Its swim students include families from Northern New Jersey communities such as Bound Brook, Bridgewater, Somerset, Green Brook Township, Warren Township, Martinsville, Piscataway, Franklin Park, Somerville, Watchung Borough, Basking Ridge, Hillsborough, Bedminster, Middlesex, North Brunswick, Branchburg, Edison, Metuchen and surrounding areas. The academy has been in operation under the name Little Dolphins Swim Academy/Arete Aquatic Services from 2014–2026.

Parent testimonials describe children progressing from not wanting to get their faces wet to swimming various strokes the length of the pool, and note that class sizes are small and coaches are attentive. Other parents report that their children moved from being afraid to put their faces in the water to executing several different strokes, and that instructors work one-on-one within group lessons. Families also mention steady progress through the program to learning all four main strokes, and they highlight details such as a warm changing room, a mat in the changing room, and separate “Baby and Me” classes for infants and toddlers.
