About
Meadowlands YMCA Youth Programs include summer camps, personal training, sports leagues, swim lessons for children, adults, and seniors, a competitive swim team, and water exercise classes. The programs also offer fitness activities, sports, education and training opportunities, global services, chronic disease prevention activities, blood donation drives, a food distribution program, and daycare and preschool through the Mara Center Daycare & Preschool.
• Schedule: Program hours are Monday–Wednesday 5am–10pm, Thursday–Friday 5am–9pm, Saturday 7am–5pm, and Sunday 8am–3pm.
Since 1920, the Meadowlands YMCA has been a responsive advocate for the community it serves. Its mission statement is that it believes everyone deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of their background or income. The Mara Center Daycare & Preschool is described as a state-of-the-art program that serves children from 6 weeks to 5 years old. Summer camps at the Meadowlands YMCA are described as flexible, affordable, and fun.
The Meadowlands YMCA lists a leadership and staff team that includes members of the leadership team Lal Grant, J. Chiappone, C. Pasquale, D. Ardito, and C. Gonzalez, along with roles such as Associate Membership Director, Associate Program Director, Marketing Coordinator, Aquatics Director, Swim Team Coach, Associate Mara Director, Mara Coordinator, Facilities Managers, Wellness Coordinators, Family Success Center Director, 21st Century Director, Director of Adult Programming at the Meadowlands Family Success Center, and several Family Partners. The Meadowlands YMCA builds community through numerous programs and partnerships and has hosted free outreach programs for the community. Family Success Centers connected with the Meadowlands YMCA are described as “one-stop” shops that provide wrap-around resources and supports for families before they find themselves in crisis, offer primary child abuse prevention services, and seek to provide a warm, welcoming, home-like environment with family-friendly activities and resources. There is no cost to access services provided by Family Success Centers.
