Taubenslag Productions Summer Theater Camp and THEATERWEEK features daily swimming in a huge outdoor pool along with activities such as scavenger hunts, charades, sing down, relay races, miniature golf, Carnival, Gaga Pit, volleyball, arts and crafts, theatrical workshops, and Cast Parties. The program includes an original, award-winning THEATERWEEK workshop that produces an elaborate, full-scale musical production in just five days starring students, with roles provided for all children in groups of 50 to 200 kids. Taubenslag Productions also offers Broadway-style professional touring shows and original musical comedies that are fast-paced, visually stimulating, and include audience participation.

THEATERWEEK is described as an after-school theatrical program developed to build students’ self-esteem and confidence and is designed to build a child’s self-esteem and confidence. The popular Summer Theater Camp not only teaches children about musical theater but also provides a safe atmosphere of fun, excitement and camaraderie they will never forget. The Summer Theater Camp is described as a very popular, national award-winning Theater Day Camp, and Taubenslag Productions is described as an award-winning Edison Summer Camp since 1964. The majority of campers return year after year, and more than 100,000 children have performed in THEATERWEEK.
Taubenslag Productions began its residence at the Jan Hus Theater in New York City in 1964 and has been producing successful shows for over 50 years. The Theater Day Camp is in its 36th year, the summer Theater Camp is going into its 31st season, THEATERWEEK has been running for over 30 years, and THEATERWEEK has been bringing theater arts to schools for over 35 years and over 40 years, as both durations are stated. The company was the resident Children’s Theater Company at Middlesex County College for 19 years, and it is stated that Taubenslag Productions has had 36 summers of Theater Camp. The founder is Elliott Taubenslag, and the owner and producer is Michael Taubenslag.
THEATERWEEK won a National Award for Best Children’s Program in the USA, and the Theater Day Camp is described as national award-winning and winner of Best Children’s Program in the US. The Theater Day Camp was honored by the New Jersey State Senate, General Assembly and County Freeholders for artistic excellence and over 25 years of service to children. Founder Elliott Taubenslag received the Governor’s Award for outstanding achievement in educational theater from New Jersey Governor Thomas Kean, the National Recreation and Parks Association’s Dorothy Mullen Arts & Humanity Award, and the New Jersey Recreation and Parks Association Award for Excellence in Programming. In 2010, Elliott Taubenslag was honored for his 50 years of service to theater arts in East Brunswick, where a street was named after him: “Elliott Taubenslag Way.”
The Theater Day Camp was honored by the New Jersey State Senate, General Assembly and County Freeholders for artistic excellence and 25+ years of service to children. Taubenslag Productions tours the nation’s colleges and performing arts centers and has produced THEATERWEEK in hundreds of schools and organizations.
