Soccer Shots at The Learning Ladder Academy offers a high energy, fun, and age-appropriate introduction to soccer. The program includes soccer activities led by enthusiastic coaches who are passionate about working with children. In addition to soccer, children at The Learning Ladder Academy sing songs, play instruments, and play with puppets as part of the broader activity offerings.

• Schedule: Soccer Shots is offered on Fridays in the fall and the spring; The Learning Ladder Academy is open Monday–Friday 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, with before and aftercare available Monday–Friday 7:00 am to 6:00 pm
The Learning Ladder Academy provides care for children from 6 weeks through 12 years, including before and after care for school-age children, drop-ins when a child’s school is closed with a call ahead to reserve a spot, and a Summer Camp during the summer months. The program includes a Music Program every Wednesday with Ms. Jodi. The Learning Ladder Academy states that it offers a Safe & Secure environment, a Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum, Qualified, Caring, and Experienced Staff, and affordable childcare in a loving environment.
Soccer Shots at The Learning Ladder Academy is part of a nationally recognized program that focuses on improving children’s gross motor skills and teaching concepts such as teamwork, sharing, and respect, with the stated goal “to leave a lasting, positive impact on every child that we coach.” The mission of The Learning Ladder Academy is “to nurture each child academically and socially to prepare for school, career and life.” The Owner/Director, Heather Cebollero, has 20+ years of daycare experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, and is Montessori certified.
Lakewood provides free busing to and from Piners Elementary School, Spruce Street Elementary, Ella G Clarke School, and Lakewood Middle School for this program. Families who need subsidy can contact Children’s Home Society at (732) 557-9633 (chsofnj.org), and the program accepts CHS, Work First New Jersey, and Child Care Resources.
