Young World Day School

Young World Day School offers traditional and Montessori classes, including traditional or Montessori preschool and a private school program for Pre-K through grade 2. The program uses multi-graded classrooms in the Primary School and a rotating multi-year curriculum in grades Kindergarten through 2nd. It also includes open-ended, diversified assignments designed to suit each child, transitional Kindergarten for students who miss the public school cutoff, and small, individualized classes for grades 1–2.

Young World Day School’s mission is to provide a standard of educational excellence in academic and practical life in a learning environment designed to nurture the two to twelve-year-old child's love of learning. As children proceed through the grades, the school states that it supports the eager pursuit of knowledge, the confidence to take academic risks, and the ability to think logically and creatively. The school identifies integrity, initiative, independence, responsibility, consideration for others, self-respect, and pride in learning as hallmarks of its students and staff. Young World Day School is a not for profit school serving Bergen, Passaic and Rockland Counties.
