About
Allaire Gymnastics offers a Mini Gymnastics Class, tumbling, open gym, gym birthday parties, birthday parties, private lessons, trial classes, and a drop in class. The program includes individualized instruction in a safe and fun atmosphere and follows a progressive program that allows children to advance at a comfortable rate for their ability. Parents can watch from a lobby area with viewing windows, and parents are not allowed in the gym unless in a parent participation class due to insurance.
• Ages: 3–5 years old
• Schedule: New Mini Gymnastics Class starts January 21st from 1:30–2:30, with classes running on a rolling basis from month to month and automatic roll into the new month unless withdrawing
• Price: Mini Gymnastics Class tuition is $76.00 per month; annual registration is $30.00; a drop in class for students not currently enrolled is $18.00 for a one hour class; registration is $30.00 for new students and $20.00 for returning students
Allaire Gymnastics has been serving the shore area for 50 years, opening in September 1974 in Belmar, NJ and moving to its current location in Manasquan in 1985, and is celebrating 52 years of training young athletes. Owner/Director Linda Havlusch leads the program, and all instructors are USA Gymnastics safety certified. The stated philosophy, beginning with parent and tot classes, is to develop the child's self-esteem and improve confidence and self-image, with goals that include encouraging children to participate in group activities, follow simple instructions, and have fun.
The facility is cleaned and disinfected before each class, and the equipment is disinfected and sanitized before each class. The gym is disinfected every day and cleaned in between all rotations and classes, and, weather permitting, all windows in the gym are kept open for fresh air circulation. At this time parents are encouraged to drop and go due to Covid-19 procedures. Each gymnast brings a bag for belongings, including a labeled water bottle since the water cooler is currently shut off, and gymnasts do not wear shoes or socks in the gym.
Girls may wear a leotard without a skirt with hair pulled up or back and no jewelry, or shorts or leggings, or shorts and fitted t-shirts if uncomfortable in a leotard. Boys may wear gym shorts with no buttons, zippers, or buckles and a fitted, tucked-in t-shirt. Students are asked not to arrive more than 5 minutes before class time; once the coach opens the gym door, students may enter, and all athletes enter through the double doors nearest the bathroom where a coach waits. Students are not released until staff see that a parent or guardian is there.
Office hours are Monday closed; Tuesday 3:30–6:00; Wednesday 3:30–5:30; Thursday 3:30–6:30; Friday 4:00–6:00; Saturday closed; and Sunday closed. The program offers makeup classes for missed classes with office scheduling, discounts for siblings for gymnastics and tumbling, and a multi-class discount on the second class with some exceptions. For snow days, families are asked to message for closings and makeup classes are offered, and if a class falls on a holiday when the gym is closed, there are no makeup classes or discounts. The program states that no one will be turned away and that if a family feels a child does not have the skills, the program feels it has the coaches.
