Silton Swim School

Silton Swim School offers swim instruction in water that is heated to 86 degrees. The program operates as a family business and also has Savvy’s Swim Shop on site for participants and families.

• Schedule: Spring office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with the office closed on Saturday and Sunday; summer office hours are Monday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Saturday 9:00 to 11:00 AM, and closed on Sunday. Savvy’s Swim Shop is open from 8:45 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturdays.

Over the past six decades, late owner and director Robert A. Leete Jr. taught hundreds of thousands of children how to swim and be safe in the water. The current directors are Nancy J. Leete and Danielle Nestler, who are the wife and granddaughter of Robert A. Leete Jr. The program’s stated mission emphasizes placing each youngster in an ideal environment with ample time, using an educationally proven program with professional instruction, and focusing on communication and repetition within each child’s ability level, with maximum comfortable exposure supported by heating the water to 86 degrees.
