ESF Camps & Experiences describes its programs as award-winning, with best-in-class programming created in collaboration with partners and an excellent track record of positive results. The organization states that it is celebrating 29 years in the Moorestown community and that, since 2017, its camp home has been located on the campus of William Allen Middle School. The mission statement describes ESF as a “HAPPY PLACE where every child is free to explore their curiosity and power their potential,” and states that a summer at ESF “will have a lasting impact on your child’s happiness, growth and personal development.”
The camp’s MAXJOY framework is described as ESF’s signature, proprietary guiding philosophy, created to boost confidence, deepen friendships, and ignite positivity. ESF offers a variety of program types, including traditional day camps, sports camps, residential camps, specialty sports camps, STEAM specialty camps, arts and enrichment camps, technology + design + code camps, science and engineering camps, and a leadership camp. Program groupings include Junior Camp (Mini Division) for rising grades PreS and PreK, Junior Camp (Intermediate Division) for rising grades K–2, Senior Camp for rising grades 3–8, Multi-Sports Camp for rising grades 1–9, Tennis Camp for rising grades 1–10, Jr. 76ers Camps for rising grades 1–11, Phillies Baseball Academy for rising grades 1–9, Arts & Enrichment Camps for rising grades K–6, Technology + Design + Code Camps for rising grades 1–7, Science & Engineering for rising grades K–6, Bold Summers Pre-College for rising grades 9–12, and a Young Leaders Program for rising 9th and 10th grades. Jr. 76ers Basketball Day Camps are listed for ages 6–14, Phillies Baseball Academy for ages 6–14, Jr. 76ers Basketball Overnight Academy for ages 10–17, and a Bold Summers residential program is offered for grades 9–12.
The camp notes that over 60 activities, special events, and time-honored traditions are woven into camp life, and that swim instruction is included, with daily swimming mentioned in a parent testimonial and Free Swim Friday described as a camper favorite. The Club OT extended day program includes sports, games, crafts, book club, drama, and other activities, with afternoon snacks and refreshments provided. Each ESF camp location is supported by a full-time, onsite camp nurse with an on-call physician available at all times, and the swim program is supervised by American Red Cross-certified lifeguards and instructors.
The leadership team at this site includes Allie Rauso, Site Director for ESF at William Allen Middle School, who has worked at ESF for 18 summers as of summer 2026 in roles including counselor, Support Specialist, Senior Camp Director, and Assistant Site Director. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Penn State University (2006) and a Master’s in Math Education from New York University, and teaches 6th grade mathematics in the Maple Shade School District during the off season.
Parent and participant testimonials describe ESF as being on a safe and secure campus with facilities suited for activities, and mention positive, inclusive, and fun counselors, daily swimming, and diverse programs with “a fit for every little mind.” Other testimonials describe the staff as mature, professional, and passionate, and refer to ESF as “a terrific camp experience” and “an excellent all-around experience.” One testimonial from Alexa Buckley, Founder and CEO of Margaux, states that “ESF empowered me to be bold enough and crazy enough to do the things I never really imagined I would do.” Another parent, Megan C., writes that “Your camp had already been great for her but I had no idea how fabulous it would be for her future,” noting that Isabel C. took an after-camp fencing clinic in 2010 and later competed as one of the youngest in the Fencing Junior Olympics. A counselor named Meg states, “ESF has been a part of my life for the past 13 years, and it is really where I have grown up.”
