• Schedule: Before-school and after-school enrichment programs

The Academy for Children states that lifelong curiosity is nurtured by making learning an exciting and engaging process, and that every minute of the day is looked upon as an opportunity for new understanding and growth. Activities inside and outside the classroom emphasize experiential learning, and staff pose “Wh” questions to enhance critical thinking skills, problem solving, imagination, and independence of thought. Academy directors and staff are described as experts in child development and early education. The Academy for Children’s mission is to encourage the extraordinary and phenomenal potential in each child by encompassing each area of a child’s development within an enriched, positive, and exciting learning and play environment, while also providing education and expertise to parents and mentoring professional excellence among staff. The Academy for Children, Inc. admits students of any race, color, national, and ethnic origin and states that it does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarships and loan programs, athletic, and other Academy for Children-administered programs.

Parent testimonials report that the Academy has given children confidence socially and academically, and that these children now thrive in various settings such as school, sports, making friends, and engaging with all ages. Parents also state that Academy directors and staff make themselves readily available to discuss questions or concerns, and one parent in 2023 describes the Academy as feeling like home.
