Summer Reading Club includes reading activities where participants can win prizes and coupons, make fun crafts, and join classes or programs. The program features Brag Tag Bingo, a Summer Reading Bucket List, a Sweet Treat Challenge, an online READsquared reading log, and a Grand Finale Magic Show with Steve Woyce. Participants can also earn badges, raffle tickets, completion certificates, string bags, and certain food-related rewards by meeting specific reading and mission goals through the children’s and tweens/teens programs.
• Ages: 3–17 years old
• Schedule: Summer Reading Club Desk Hours run Monday–Wednesday 10:00–5:00pm and Thursday–Friday 10:00–4:30pm, with late nights Monday and Wednesday 6:00–7:30pm; registration begins June 22, 2026, and the last date to log reading is midnight on August 2, 2026
The program uses READsquared for online reading logs and missions, and participants can register at riveredgelibrary.readsquared.com or through the app from the Apple Store or Google Play Store. Weekly raffle periods run from June 22 through August 2, 2026, with 100 points required each week for raffle eligibility, and winners for both the children’s and tweens/teens programs are announced at the Grand Finale Magic Show on August 4, 2026, with email notification for those not present. Brag Tag Bingo and the Summer Reading Bucket List run through September 4, 2026, while supplies last, and the Sweet Treat Challenge runs on Wednesdays through July 29, 2026. Sponsors listed for Summer Reading Club include Friends Of The River Edge Library, River Edge Alliance Against Substance Abuse, The Habit Burger Grill, Paramus Mini Golf Course, Applebee's, and the 7-11 on Kinderkamack Rd.
