Next Level Day Camp NJ & CT offers a wide range of activities, including basketball, lacrosse, flag football, baseball, soccer, tennis, golf, fencing, bowling, gaga, floor hockey, fitness and Cross Fit, ultimate frisbee, and handball. Campers can also choose from DJ, magic, cooking and baking, musical theatre, martial arts, photography, bucket drumming, electronics, coding, robotics, Apache Relay, Color Run, Water Wars, and Wacky Sports Day. The program is structured as a skill-based elective camp that offers specialized instruction in these activities, and campers create their own schedule on a daily basis by choosing what they want to do and when they want to do it.
• Schedule: Next Level Day Camp offers 6 weeks of day camp in New Jersey and 4 weeks of day camp in Connecticut, with registration options that include week-long full or half day and flex passes to custom select days.
Next Level Day Camp NJ & CT offers four- to eight-hour specialty programs referred to as Academies and balances intensive sports and academic training with traditional camp activities. For each activity period, girls and boys choose from a mix of core sports, non-traditional sports, STEM options such as electronics, coding, and robotics, arts such as musical theatre, photography, and bucket drumming, and unique activities including Apache Relay, Color Run, Water Wars, and Wacky Sports Day. Campers are strongly encouraged a few times each week to choose an elective activity outside of their comfort zone.
Next Level Day Camp NJ & CT has top-notch teachers and instructors from across New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut who specialize in training children. The program’s mission statement is that it helps campers explore their passions and work on their skills to get to the next level. The founder and director, Ed Metzendorf, also leads Next Level Camp for Girls and Next Level Camp for Boys, was a two-time captain of his college tennis team, and currently coaches the Hunter College tennis teams. Ed serves on the Board of The Summer Camp and is very involved in Camp Champions, both of which give kids from less fortunate environments the opportunity to enjoy a summer camp experience.
