Cedarbrook Day Camp

Cedarbrook Day Camp offers activities such as canoe rides, archery, go karts, soccer, softball, basketball, hiking, fishing, swimming, and time on a water slide. Campers can work on artistic talents through arts & crafts, craft their first lanyard, learn dance routines, bake cupcakes, and spend time in a game room. The camp also includes group activities, trips, themed days, special events, and opportunities for diving into the pool and canoeing.

• Ages: 4–15 years old
• Schedule: 8-week 2026 season from Monday, June 22nd through Friday, August 14th, with a minimum enrollment of 3 weeks

The program uses an elective-based structure where campers choose activities that shape their day, including a Freedom of Choice elective program with 2–3 optional activities from Monday to Thursday. Camp days include 2–4 periods where campers independently choose activities, 15 minutes of downtime between activities, and free periods during the week for senior campers. Transportation is provided from Middlesex, Somerset, Morris, and Sussex counties, and trips are scheduled throughout the summer. The Somerset Campus offers a hybrid option with 3 days at Somerset and 2 days at the Tranquility Campus, and the Piscataway Campus runs as a hybrid camp with 3 days on its campus and 2 days at Tranquility. Cedarbrook states a focus on character development with values such as honesty, kindness, respect, and perseverance, an emphasis on getting away from screens, and describes its experience as “Summer Camp The Way it Should BE!” Cedarbrook’s mission is to create a surreal summer camp setting and adventure that will leave an indelible mark on campers, with a goal of offering a high-quality, enriching camp experience at a price families can afford and that is accessible to more than just the top 1% of income earners.
