The staff includes experienced and qualified teachers along with high school students who are former campers. The camp is for children entering 1st–7th grade in the 2025–26 school year, and field trips were added to the program in 2018. The camp is run by physical education teachers who started the camp to provide a summer program similar to a successful physical education program, with teamwork and sportsmanship stressed during every activity. Registration is closed and 2026 camp registration is completely full.
At Summerfun Kids Camp, the stated mission is to provide a fun and safe environment where children can learn, grow, and make lasting memories, with activities designed to foster creativity, build self-confidence, and promote teamwork and leadership skills. Both camp directors are currently working in the Swedesboro-Woolwich School District. Parent feedback includes comments such as, “MY CHILD BECAME MORE COMFORTABLE WITH THE IDEA OF STARTING AT HARKER IN SEPTEMBER AFTER ATTENDING” and “MY KIDS GET SO TIRED FROM ALL THE ACTIVITIES, AS A PARENT I LOVE IT !”
