Ascension Athletics offers gymnastics, tumbling, preschool gymnastics, recreational gymnastics, recreational trampoline and tumbling, beginning tumbling, intermediate tumbling, and competitive girls gymnastics. The program also offers Fun Gym and hosts birthday parties. Classes and activities use equipment such as an above ground tumble-trak, a spring floor, a large bar training area, beams of all sizes, and a dedicated vault area.

The program includes a dedicated preschool area with gymnastics equipment sized for preschool students and a courtesy viewing area outside the gym for parents. Future Stars is an invite-only pre-team program geared toward preparing young gymnasts for competitive gymnastics. Ascension Athletic is a member of the USA Gymnastics Developmental Program. Ascension Athletics, as a member club of USA Gymnastics, has adopted the required USA Gymnastics Safe Sport Policy and the Prevention Policies set by the USA Gymnastics Safety and Response Policy.
Each staff member 18 years and older who has contact with children is required to complete a background check and the SafeSport course provided by USA Gymnastics. The leadership team includes Owner and Head Team Coach Monica Kirby, Rec Director and Team Coach Alex Covert, Team Coaches Charissa Kirby, Keren Ibarra, and Stacia Lydon, Assistant Team Coach and Instructor Anita DeShane-Hogan, Floor Manager Jenesa Mpiga-Tsiba, Instructors Madelyne Dooley, Abbie Martin, Amalee Burnham, Laura Flores, Reese Hatch, Jr. Instructors Kylee Welch and Cali Christensen, Office Staff and Instructor Marisela Pallanes, Office Staff Kathy Reyes and Katlyn Esquibel, and Team/Event Coordinator Sonya Beck.
Ascension Athletics states that children who come to the program receive knowledge, encouragement, and guidance from its staff and that it takes pride in its dedication to children and families in the community. The program states that it aspires to rise up to meet new challenges and its full potential and encourages children to do the same. One parent testimonial notes that a child has been in gymnastics for 2 years, loves her coaches, and that the coaches are patient and keep her on task through the entire class.
Students are required to have bare feet, and socks, tights, or footed leggings are not allowed. Jewelry, including watches, rings, necklaces, and large earrings, is not allowed. Leotards are encouraged for female students, and tight fitted shorts, leggings, and shirts are acceptable; boys should wear shorts or sweats and a t-shirt. Clothing with buttons or zippers is not allowed, and longer hair should be securely pinned back and out of the student’s face without bows or clips with metal clasps. Cubbies are provided for clothing, shoes, jackets, and water bottles, and no glass or glass bottles, chewing gum, food, drinks, or street shoes are allowed in the gymnastics area. No valuable items should be brought to the gym, and students are instructed to make sure they have no objects in their pockets while in the gym.
