Junior Golf Academy offers golf instruction that includes an introduction to the game of golf with basic swing fundamentals, full swing fundamentals, chipping basics, and putting basics. As players continue, the program includes full swing development, short game focus, short game review, play and playing instruction, advanced shot making, course conduct, rules introduction, a rules curriculum, course management, and scoring techniques.

• Price: Plan A $95 a month for 4, 30 minute group classes; Plan B $190 a month for 8, 30 minute group classes; Plan C $25 Drop-In Fee per 30 minute class
The Junior Golf Academy was established in 2004 and has used the phrase “Building Swings from the Inside Out” since 2004. The leadership team includes Pam Bowers and Dale Bowers. The JGA curriculum is described as providing progressive professional instruction to junior golfers ages 6–18, from beginners to aspiring high school and collegiate golfers, in a fun, focused and competitive atmosphere, with instruction tailored to each student’s character and physical abilities, and with the goal that each lesson ends with focus and direction.
Teacher to student ratio is capped at 1:10. All new golfers begin at the Blue Level. Beginner and intermediate levels use Blue (Respect), White (Integrity), and Red (Responsibility) character pillars, and advanced levels are organized into Bronze, Silver, and Gold based on skill. Registration is taken on-site at a child’s first Junior Golf Academy class at the Desert Willow Driving Range, and cash, Zelle, or check payments are taken at the beginning of the student’s first lesson of the month. The Bowers Golf Academy is described as the only multi-generational golf academy in the Southwest.
Pam Bowers received the US Kids Golf Top 50 Kids Teacher Award in 2006, 2007, and 2011, and was honored at the 2012 PGA Show with the Top 50 Master Kids Teacher Award for her lifetime contributions to junior golf, and this award ranks both her and the JGA Golf Academy among the best in the world. One parent review states, “Taking lessons at the Bowers Golf Academy has been the best investment for my golf game. Good clubs and clothes can only get you so far. I have learned that golf doesn’t have to be rocket science! Pars and birdies are making more appearances on my scorecard.”
