Education Programs & Resources includes the Learning in Nature Program, which provides grants for youth to experience outdoor spaces through guided field trips and professional development opportunities for teachers. It also includes the Next-Generation Science Standards Program, which provides schools with standards-supported classroom programs featuring hands-on learning and outdoor field trip experiences. Other offerings include the Native Habitat Program, free online resources for extended learning in the classroom and at home, Mojave Max, and the Water Resource Hub.

Get Outdoors Nevada’s mission is to offer a wide range of nature and science programs designed to encourage youth to explore, sustain, and protect shared outdoor spaces. Applications for the Next-Gen Science Modules program are now closed. Applications for Transportation Microgrants are accepted on a rolling basis and must be submitted a minimum of one month before the scheduled trip. Educator training sessions are held throughout the year and are open to teachers, educators, youth group leaders, scout leaders, and more.

Applications for the Next-Gen Science Modules program are now closed. Applications for Transportation Microgrants are accepted on a rolling basis and must be submitted a minimum of one month before the scheduled trip. Educator training sessions are held throughout the year at Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, and Desert National Wildlife Refuge. Training is open to teachers, educators, youth group leaders, scout leaders, and more.
