Freestyle Martial Arts Academy

Freestyle Martial Arts Academy offers Little Dragons, Kids, Teens, Adults, Black Belts, and Kids Summer Camps. Little Dragons is for ages 4 to 7, Kids and Teens are for ages 8 to 14, Adults are open to all ages and capabilities, and children can attend Kids Summer Camps with weekly camps and field trips. The summer camp program includes Camp Extreme, Discovery Camp, Camp Superstar, and Legoland Camp in 2026.

About the provider

The mission statement says the academy creates a nurturing, supportive, and professional environment for students of all ages. It says the staff focuses on positive values, an anti-bullying mindset, and a sense of belonging in martial arts classes. The academy was voted Best Martial Arts in Reno four years in a row, was voted the "Best Of Reno" martial arts school in the Reno Gazette Journal Community Choice Awards for the past four years, and is approved for Washoe County School District P.E. facilities.

Children ages four and older are welcomed; students can begin at age four; at least two classes a week are recommended; beginners and intermediate belts can attend three classes per week; the elite program BBC has access to unlimited classes; the program fits the needs of the individual and everyone can move at their own pace; students with physical limitations and/or learning disabilities can participate; martial arts classes are recommended as an extracurricular activity for children.
