Spark The Imagination is a partnership between The Generator and the Sparks Library and is described as a free hour-long workshop designed for kids 6–12 that includes a presentation and then a hands-on related activity. The Generator states that it fosters a broad group of people from all walks of life to create in an informal learning institution and collaborative community, and describes itself as an inclusive makerspace driven by the power of art and community that is available to anyone who wants to make things. The Generator also hosts public outreach events and kids activity booths, and volunteer opportunities support its mission. Tours of the makerspace are offered every hour on the hour from 12–5 p.m. for individuals and small groups without appointments.
