Montessori Children's Room

Montessori Children's Room offers toddler classes, preschool classes, elementary work for kindergarten and first grade, after school activities, and a summer camp. After school activities include yoga, cooking, foreign languages, dance, art, Super Soccer Stars, and gymnastics. In elementary, children work individually at their own level and pace in reading, writing, and math, and study geography and science through hands-on materials and experiments.

Programs

• Toddler Classes — 18 months to 2 years
• Preschool Classes — 3-5 years old
• Elementary — kindergarten and first grade · Small group setting where children work individually at their own level and pace in reading, writing and math. Geography and science are presented through hands-on materials and experiments.
• Summer Camp — 18 months to 6 years · A theme-based summer camp program for children 18 months to 6 years.

About the provider

The Montessori Children's Room grew from a group of parents who banded together in 1968. Two years later, the school moved to its present location on Old Route 22 next to Armonk's Whippoorwill Park. Its mission is to help each child achieve their potential through academics, music, drama, art, movement, and practical life skills.
