Montessori Children's Room

Montessori Children's Room offers a theme-based summer camp program where children take part in activities such as Yoga, Cooking, Foreign Languages, Dance, Art, Super Soccer Stars, and Gymnastics. The program also offers these activities as after school options during the year.

The Montessori Children’s Room began in 1968 when a group of parents formed the school, and two years later it moved to its present location next to Whippoorwill Park. The program states that it is dedicated to providing a quality education with high academic standards in a warm loving environment, and that the Montessori philosophy of education influences all aspects of the child’s experience. It states that it continues its dedication to helping each child achieve its potential by nurturing and stimulating the union of mind and body through academics, music, drama, art, movement, and practical life skills. The program and facilities have been continually expanded and improved to better serve the needs of the children.
