About
School Age Childcare Programs include activities such as sports, games, video games, Mario Kart, Super Smash Bros, Wii Sports, and board games. The program also offers open gym time with basketball and volleyball, as well as creative projects like making bracelets, slime, and paintings. Children can take part in trivia, karaoke, Dungeons and Dragons, and dodgeball tournaments, with a daily schedule that allows a choice of a wide range of developmentally appropriate activities and a balance of active and passive structure.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Before and after school program hours are 6:45am–9:00am and 3:00pm–6:00pm, with a full day care option on Thursday, April 9, 2026 from 7:30am–5:30pm
• Price: Cost: $75 per child.
The School Age Childcare Programs are operated by the Ballston Area Community Center (BACC), a not-for-profit corporation serving youth ages 4 to 18 who live in the Ballston Spa School District and surrounding area. The program is led in part by Jessica Bradley, Gordon Creek Child Care Director and childcare director at the Ballston Area Community Center, who holds a bachelor’s degree in childhood education from the College of Saint Rose. The mission of BACC is to provide essential community services, programs, support and projects that enhance the social, emotional and recreational development of youth and families of the Ballston Area. The Ballston Area Community Center Program does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or level of income, and states that all reasonable accommodations will be made to include children with mental or physical challenges. The Ballston Area Community Center is supported in part by funding from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, Saratoga County Youth Bureau, Village of Ballston Spa, Town of Milton, and Town of Ballston. For full day care, required items include lunch, a water bottle, and sneakers.
