Ballston Area Community Center Youth Programs

Ballston Area Community Center Youth Programs includes Universal Prekindergarten Program (UPK), School Age Childcare Program, Teen Program/Teen Night!, and Friday Night Fun: Open Gym. UPK is a state-funded program taught by certified teachers with training in early education, and it includes wraparound childcare before and after the school day. Teen Night includes video games, board games, open gym, activities and crafts, homework support, and special program nights. Friday Night Fun: Open Gym includes basketball, volleyball, and other sports and exercises.

Programs

• Universal Prekindergarten Program (UPK) — Eligible child resides within the Ballston Spa Central School District and is four years of age on or before December 1st or otherwise eligible to attend kindergarten following school year. · Monday through Friday, 9:00 am-2:00 pm; optional wraparound childcare before 6:30 am-9:00 am and after 2:00 pm-6:00 pm · State-funded; taught by certified teachers with training in early education. BACC offers four full-day UPK classrooms at 20 Malta Ave. Optional childcare available for an additional fee.
• School Age Childcare Program — Before school 6:30 am-9:00 am; after school 3:00 pm-6:00 pm · Satellite sites operated by BACC are the Gordon Creek Site, Wood Road Site, and Malta Ave. Elementary Site.
• Teen Program / Teen Night! — Open to all 6th-9th grade students in Saratoga County · Every Monday from 6:30 pm-8:30 pm · Drop-off experience with video games, board games, open gym, activities and crafts, homework support, and special program nights.
• Friday Night Fun: Open Gym — All ages are welcome; children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent · Every Friday from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm · Open gym with basketball, volleyball, and other sports and exercises. A one-time participation agreement is required upon entry.

Ballston Area Community Center Youth Programs serves youth ages 4 to 18 who live in the Ballston Spa School District and surrounding area. Its mission is to provide essential community services, programs, support and projects that enhance the social, emotional and recreational development of youth and families of the Ballston Area.
