About
School Age Childcare Programs offers before and after school care with a daily schedule that is structured to allow a choice of a wide range of developmentally appropriate activities. The program includes a balance of active and passive structure, so children can pursue particular interests and develop individual abilities. The program is operated by the Ballston Area Community Center (BACC), a not-for-profit corporation serving youth who live in the Ballston Spa School District and surrounding area.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Before and after school care with morning hours from 6:45am–9:00am and afternoon hours from 3:00pm–6:00pm
• Price: Cost: $75 per child.
The program is led by Jessica Bradley, Gordon Creek Child Care Director, who is also the childcare director at the Ballston Area Community Center and director of school aged childcare and summer camp programs. Jessica holds a bachelor’s degree in childhood education from the College of Saint Rose. The mission of the Ballston Area Community Center is to provide essential community services, programs, support and projects that enhance the social, emotional and recreational development of youth and families of the Ballston Area. The Ballston Area Community Center Program does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or level of income, and all reasonable accommodations are made to include children with mental or physical challenges. Enrollment requirements include a complete BACC application, current physical and immunization forms, payment of the registration fee, and payment of the first month’s tuition. The Ballston Area Community Center is supported in part by funding from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, Saratoga County Youth Bureau, the Village of Ballston Spa, the Town of Milton, and the Town of Ballston.
