The Ballston Area Community Center is a not-for-profit corporation serving youth ages 4 to 18 who live in the Ballston Spa School District and surrounding area. The daily schedule in the School Age Childcare Program is structured to allow a choice of a wide range of developmentally appropriate activities, with a balance of active and passive structure. Teen Night is open to all 6th–9th grade students in Saratoga County and is free for everyone, and includes a Monthly Homework Contest where completed homework earns raffle tickets for an end-of-the-month prize drawing, as well as special themed nights such as trivia, karaoke, Dungeons and Dragons, and dodgeball tournaments, with teens helping decide programming. Friday Night Fun: Open Gym welcomes all ages, with children under 12 required to be accompanied by a parent, and a one-time participation agreement required upon entry. For BACC Full Day Care on Thursday, April 9, 2026, each child is required to bring lunch, a water bottle, and sneakers, and teens can join Teen Night for a quiet place to study and do homework.
The Ballston Area Community Center Program does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or level of income, and will make all reasonable accommodations to include children with mental or physical challenges. The Ballston Area Community Center is supported in part by funding from the New York State Office of Children and Family Services, Saratoga County Youth Bureau, the Village of Ballston Spa, the Town of Milton, and the Town of Ballston. The mission of the Ballston Area Community Center is to provide essential community services, programs, support and projects that enhance the social, emotional and recreational development of youth and families of the Ballston Area.
