Camps 'R' Us Bellmore offers activities including ‘R’ Cade, Arts & Crafts, Court Sports, Dance, Edible Art, Field Sports, Gaga, and time in a Game Room and Gymnasium. Camps ‘R’ Us was founded in 1993 by Joanne and Gary Turnier, with its inaugural season in 1995, and has been family-owned and operated for 30 years. The camp has grown to include thousands of campers, parents, staff, and alumni, and has served tens of thousands of children across Long Island since it began. The leadership team includes Campus Director Maryann Tenney, Assistant Director Nicholas Carri, founders Joanne and Gary Turnier, and current leaders Cheryl and Jason Turnier, with Jason Turnier serving as Managing Director for over 15 years. Cheryl Turnier is a former educator with a B.S. in Childhood Education and English Literature from LIU Post, and Jason Turnier earned his MBA from LIU Post. Camps ‘R’ Us describes itself as accredited, award-winning, and affordable, and offers programs called Tiny Tots® (Nursery and Pre-K), Campers (Grades K–4), and Explorers® (Grades 5–8). The camp provides a secure online registration form, on-demand extended hours, flexible payment options, multiple discounts that apply to most families, and an app available for iOS and Android.
