About

Shine offers children activities such as arts and crafts, nature exploration, sports and games, percussion workshops, cooking, art, science, charity work, meditation, music, and dance. The program’s creative arts camp and classes can be brought directly to a family’s backyard through private, custom, fully insured mobile programming. Shine also runs full experience summer camps that are described as innovative and creative, including a full day arts camp, a tennis and arts camp, and a half-day camp for younger children.

• Ages: 0–12 years old

Founded by Aaron Goldschmidt in 2004, Shine went mobile in 2006, launched its website and lifestyle blog in 2012, and in 2021 opened its first process and creative arts space called the Shine Studio in Bridgehampton, NY. Shine’s mission statement is: “Our goal is simple: to unlock individuality and potential through exploration, creativity, and acceptance.” Programming is custom created by educators, teaching artists, and musicians, and Shine’s custom programming is available in the Hamptons year round. Shine is described as a leading provider of pop-up classes, parties, and camps for kids 6 months to 12 years old in the New York tri-state area, and also offers mobile enrichment classes and birthday parties brought to homes and venues. The Shine Studio serves as the headquarters and creative hub for the program, a venue for events, classes, and camps, and a studio to film videos, and it has direct access to the Long Pond Greenbelt trails.

LongHouse hosts the Shine Summer Camp, where sculpture, artists, nature, and design are introduced to children of all ages. Testimonials from parents and partners describe experiences with Shine’s camps, classes, and parties, including references to creative art projects, cooking classes, meditation, science, music, art, and dance, as well as comments about the professionalism and approach of Aaron Goldschmidt and the Shine teaching team.
