About

Say Yes Buffalo provides a scholarship promise to Buffalo public school and charter school graduates. The program provides all the Pre-K through grade 12 supports that children and families need to stay healthy and succeed in school. Say Yes Buffalo also coordinates paid apprenticeships for graduating seniors and paid internships for graduates of Buffalo public and charter schools. The program works with local employers and higher education programs to connect young people to job training and employment opportunities. Its mission is to remove barriers to educational and economic attainment for young people.

• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–5:00 pm

Say Yes Buffalo Scholarships and Grants are available to graduates of Buffalo public and charter schools and are privately funded by individuals, families, businesses, and organizations. One student, Jewell Eason from City Honors School and Niagara University, states that everything they have done and where they are today is because of Say Yes, and that without Say Yes they would not have been able to attend Niagara or find their passion for communications. Another student, Lew Wah from Riverside Institute of Technology and Buffalo State University, describes Say Yes Buffalo as very amazing and says it has helped with a job, finances, and college tuition, and that by helping them, the program has helped their entire family. A third student, Jesana Gadley from Frederick Law Olmsted High School and Canisius College, says they have been able to benefit from Say Yes Buffalo’s work to expand programs and create access for people from different backgrounds throughout Buffalo.
